[Xen-users] domU with gigabit ethernet or recommendations?
Dear Xen Users, I have a rhel5 dom0 machine with four nics, two public and two private. My goal is to run two xen instances, a fully virtualized rhel4(with a custom kernel, hence the fully virtualized) and a paravirtualized rhel5. Each instance will need one public and one private nic with gigabit connectivity. At the moment I''m simply bridging two nics to each instance. Is this the recommended method? My only problem with this configuration is that within the domU, the nics are emulated as: eth0: RTL-8139C+ at 0xffffff000000e000, 00:16:3e:1d:33:bf, IRQ 11 eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0x05E1 Module 8139cp Which does gives 100Mbps performance. Is there any way to specify the device type within the domU? The dom0 nics are Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5708 1000Base-T.
