I'm running R 1.5.1 under Windows XP Pro. I haven't paid too much attention to the way R starts up until now. I've noticed that on all my Windows XP systems, Rgui.exe starts "maximized" despite having the shortcut properties set for it to run in a "normal" window. I've tried resizing the windows (I use MDI sessions) and then saving the workspace, but the window sizing isn't persistent between sessions. I don't see this behavior on my Windows 2000 systems and so I'm wondering whether this is a minor incompatibility between R 1.5.1 and Windows XP, or whether there is some other tweak needed to get the window sizes to persist. (I suppose I could mess with the screen geometry, but I haven't needed to do this on any previous Windows OS). Thanks. Dr. Marc R.
