[Wine] How do I run windows version of virtual boy advance on mac?
I'd very much appreciate a step-by-step guide of some sort from instillation to end, from someone who's installed the windows version on their mac themselves, in the easiest, simplest, noob friendly way possible. I'm not going to lie at this point I'm an highly fucking annoyed. I've tried almost everything bootcamp, crossover, wine, etc....and nothing fucking works. I've been at this for at least 4 hours unsuccessfully and now I'm at my wits end, and obviously frustrated, any and all help would be appreciated. You'd think apple would just fucking make exe.'s compatible being the 'biggest company in the world' [Rolling Eyes]

This will happen in BootCamp, CrossOver and Wine, as well as Windows (which is needed for BootCamp.) So, can you provide a location for either a demo or trial of this program? Thank you. James

So tell you what I'm going to do: I'm going to build VBA-M from source, and provide the bundle to you myself. Then, you won't have to run the Windows version in Wine. I'm telling you: a native Mac application is a vastly superior experience to running a Windows program in Wine. You *want* me to do this for you. Trust me, you really do. You do *not* want to be mucking around with Wine on a Mac if you can help it (unless you're someone like me who likes playing with such stuff), because it is not friendly to run at all--ask yourself, why are you here at all? > > Seriously, nine times out of 10, the right solution is to find a native or cross-platform program that does what you want, rather than begging us for help trying to run a program not designed for your OS when clearly a better alternative exists. I'll be honest with you: I hardly ever use Wine. The only reason I do use it is to run the occasional Windows game that I happened to own before I got a Mac. For everything else, I run native Mac programs, or scripts, or use something designed to run in a Web browser. (Mostly the first one.) > > This is worth repeating: *Wine is a stopgap measure designed to run programs for which no native equivalent exists.* Don't use Wine if you can help it! > > ChipIf you did actually decide to do that I'd be beyond grateful seriously....this is why I decided to come here an actually ask. I had no idea wine was a program to be avoided unless 'coding' or w/e is a hobby or something you do to pass the time. Admittedly it all does seem a bit involved just to get a gameboy running lol......I figured programs like bootcamp and crossover would be super noob friendly, but even those 'kicked me in the ass' and seem liked more of a chore than necessary, and I have some minor 'hacking' experience when it comes to getting apps/programs I want. Nothing pass running cracks, keygens, bots, and stealing photoshop though lol.
