While I empathize with your predicament, I generally prefer not to have expletives in my inbox. Also, what has this to do with markdown? We did not change that; Michael merely > pointed you to a different pond with different ducks, ready to roast. Dirk, this is not helpful. How the <expletive deleted> do I get my ducks in a row? Explicitly, I guess, how do I get the symbol "CPLQuietErrorHandler" defined? I looked at the src directory for rgdal; the only filed that referred to "CPLQuietErrorHandler" was gdal_bindings.cpp. I noticed that it had a #include <cp...

...at my new location. (Why *anyone* would ever use anything other than Linux, except under duress as I am, totally escapes me, but that's another story.) Fortunately much of the Mac OSX is actually Unix, so a civilized person can manage to carry on ... But there are some things. (Like this <expletive deleted> mailer ... But that's another story.) When I ``open'' R using the icon on the ``dock'' several things are unsatisfactory; like I can't clear the screen using system("clear"), nor can I use vi syntax in command line editing. When I start R from the com...

Printer: User Intervention Required - Use Printer Offline
...of the postscript->epson conversion). But printing through this printer does *not* work; it just queues up on the windows side !? Even when trying to un-tick "Use Printer Offline", windows claims that it cannot connect to the printer share in question, as asks me to check cabling etc [expletive deleted] I realise that the above is (probably) not a samba problem, but a windows problem. But I'm out of ideas. Does this ring any bells for anyone? Feel free to point me at relevant documentation; I've been RTFM'ing quite a bit to fix this, but none of the FMs seem to mention anythi...

How do I run windows version of virtual boy advance on mac?
I'd very much appreciate a step-by-step guide of some sort from instillation to end, from someone who's installed the windows version on their mac themselves, in the easiest, simplest, noob friendly way possible. I'm not going to lie at this point I'm an highly fucking annoyed. I've tried almost everything bootcamp, crossover, wine, etc....and nothing fucking works. I've

[PS] Two Way ANOVA
Ben, I would like to test the sulfur on the clover field, nitrogen on the clover field and then test for the presence of interaction. Sorry about the last email, seems it really screwed itself over, here it is again, hopefully nicer: Nitrogen(0) Nitrogen(20) Sulfur(0) 4.54 5.73 Sulfur(3) 4.64

...hing that would simply be considered in some quarters as bad language isn't explicitly banned. The thing which differentiates simple bad language from "abusive, offensive or degrading language", which is called out by the CoC, is the context and the target. So when it's a simple expletive or the code of the author or even the hardware is the target, I'd say it's an easy determination it's not a CoC violation. If someone else's code is the target or the inventor of the hardware is targetted by name, I'd say it is. Even non-native English speakers should be able...

Problem with R CMD check and the inconsolata font business.
...w.math.unb.ca/~rolf/} > \AsIs{} > ! \textfont 0 is undefined (character t). ...... etc., etc., etc., ad (almost) infinitum. So there's some problem with a font file not being "loadable". Can anyone tell me what the <expletive deleted> I should ***do*** about this? I managed to install the "inconsolata" package from CTAN. At least I think I managed; I downloaded the *.zip file and then unzipped it in /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex. And ran "texhash". This stopped R CMD check from complaining that th...

Stupid question about IE and WINE
...d by WINE. :-) However, this means I don't know my way around Microsoft's web site. So I now have a very stupid question about IE that I hope someone can provide a quick answer to. Where can I get IE? Would some kind soul please supply the URLs for IE 5 and IE 6 so I can get the <expletive deleted> programs? I'm not too worried about the many security patches because the programs will be running in an isolated environment without internet access. All I really need them for is to test the rendering engines on local html files. I've already discovered <no surprise>...
