similar to: Polycom Phones

Hello, I am looking at the Polycom phones. The ip600 has a very nice screen, is that the only real advantage over the ip500 and ip300.. Is it worth the extra dollars? Hi All - I noticed that the Polycom IP501's are now shipping. Has anyone gotten one yet, and if so, what's different about the phone? Any UI improvements, or is it just better hardware? Thanks, Noah

I've had an IP300 for a while now and it's been working fine. I just got an IP500 and when it connects to the FTP server it downloads the new bootrom and says error loading. The bootrom is fine and works on the 300... In addition, I downloaded a new copy to be sure and it still doesn't work. Can anyone give me some advice?

Greetings all, My next step is to purchase a nice VoIP phone for my desk. I have a grandstream, and the sound is great, but I'm looking for more of an office style phone, preferably that can handle multiple lines, has a more flexible display (i.e. name as well as number). Greetings, Has anyone noticed that attempting to place a call from the "Placed Calls" list on a Polycom IP501 by pressing the 'Dial' softkey sometimes simply returns the phone to the idle screen? I have a couple of Polycom phones, bootrom 2.5.0, SIP 1.3.1.0056. Works great with Asterisk when I power on the phone. However, after some time, say an hour, I cannot receive calls on this phone. When I bought two Polycom 501 SIP phones, I naively thought they were Power-over-Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) because they were "powered over ethernet." Silly me. Hello, Does anybody have the latest Boot ROMs for the IP500 and IP 600 Polycom phones. I have one of each and can't find the Boot ROM v 3 anywhere to download. I have a Polycom IP501 phone and have set it up to download the config from an FTP server, it did this once and now is in an endless loop of trying to contact the FTP server, failing, then rebooting. I have been testing with Polycom IP600 phones for a month or so. I found out that there are frequent problems with the handset. The problem is I can hear the other end but the other end cannot hear me.
