Hi everybody. I know, I'm too lazy, but I was wondering when the binary for Linux/Debian Woody will be available. I could find only the version for unstable (Sid). Why don't you install the version from unstable? man apt-get apt-get -tunstable install r-base Christian -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-help mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !) It should not matter if woody is frozen or not, I still compile binaries for "potato" on my machine. Someone with a woody installation (and a high-speed connection) would need to compile the binaries and submit them to CRAN. --Matt -----Original Message----- From: Christian T. Thats why I suggested to install R from unstable. And even if it depended on other packages (which it does not, I installed it on a woody box with no problems), with the right apt configuration, even those dependencies would be installed. But now we are getting really OT...
