wine users - May 2010 - issues with the keyboard in wine

Everytime I play games like Half-Life 1 the game runs just I can't play with
the keyboard. Also happens with Unreal Tournament and Backyard baseball 2001. Is
there something I can to to fix it

Make sure you don't have any extra keyboard "features" enabled.
Lots of them breaks things.

Also make sure you not doing stupid things like disabling WM's control over
Wine's windows.

Ok but if turn on WM control of the windows things just keep poping in front of
the game or it goes back to the desktop for a few mins and then crashes
