Hiya So im trying to get my PDC working. Started off small and then exported my smbpasswd to tdbsam with pdbedit. The next thing I saw was all the Linux system account (irc, game, mail, etc) listed via pdbedit and srvtool's I think I have done something wrong. I would like to start from scratch and clear restart the tdb's My question is, can I just delete the tdb files. If not, would anyone know what the procedure is (What commands are used when installed from a repository, e.g. apt-get, to generate the SID etc). Kind Regards Brent Clark
i would do net getlocalsid and netgetdomainsid and write down the SIDs, then you can stop samba and delete the .tdb files, then do a net setlocalsid and net setdomainsid and then start samba again.
