Hi my understanding is that you cannot remove a disk from a ZFS storage pool once you have added it...but I also think I saw an email from Jeff B saying that the ability to depopulate a disk so that it can be removed is being worked on....or was I dreaming ? What is the status of this ? Thanks Tim -- Signature Tim Thomas Staff Engineer Storage Systems Product Group Sun Microsystems, Inc. You weren''t dreaming, that''s been a request for quite some time, and is being worked on. I couldn''t tell you the status though. I asked the question last week.. the reply i got from Matt was: It''s still a high priority on our road map, just pushed back a bit. Our current goal is to integrate into OpenSolaris sometime this summer. --matt This message posted from opensolaris.org

[zfs-discuss] ? Removing a disk from a ZFS Storage Pool
Couldn''t we move fixing "panic the system if it can''t find a lun" up to the front of the line? that one really sucks.
