zfs discuss - Jan 2008 - ? Removing a disk from a ZFS Storage Pool

Hi

my understanding is that you cannot remove a disk from a ZFS storage
pool once you have added it...but I also think I saw an email from Jeff
B saying that the ability to depopulate a disk so that it can be
removed is being worked on....or was I dreaming ?

What is the status of this ?

I asked the question last week.. the reply i got from Matt was:

It''s still a high priority on our road map, just pushed back a bit. Our
current goal is to integrate into OpenSolaris sometime this summer.

That''s controlled by the failmode property of the zpool, added in PSARC
2007/567 which was integrated in b77.
