Why??? linux-jx4z:/ # xm list Name ID Mem VCPUs State Time(s) Domain-0 0 1317 2 r----- 75.5 Fedora5 1 200 1 -b---- 6.9 centos.5-2 3 500 1 -b---- 2.0 Thank you very much! Thank you very much! I think it is the same reason why the ps command shows only one ''R'' and that too the ps command itself when the xen is querying the machines, the dom0 will be the only scheduled one and others will be blocked. So, i think almost always only Domain-0 will show ''r'' Others, correct me if i am mis-understanding this. Re: [Xen-users]Why my DomU OS'' State is always blocked? Thank you very much!!
Hi, Try running some programs or scripts on the guests and check the status again. Whenever the guest is idle or when it is awaiting user input, the status shows blocked. It does not mean the VM is blocked. Are you able to login to the guest? There is some problem if xm console '' vm-id '' does not allow you access into the guest. Try executing xenmon.py which will give you an insight into how much % of CPU is allocated for all the domains. You will be able to see that the CPU is idle most of the times. That is the reason why it shows blocked state. Hope I answered your question.
