wine users - May 2011 - Winetricks list comes up blank OSX Snow Leopard

Hello everyone, I have been having some problems with wine, mainly that I
can't get any winetricks to show up. I downloaded both wine and winetricks
from Mac Ports, I have even installed some third party programs (Like Trix) and
no luck. In wine and wine bottler the list is always empty! I have tried to
install winetricks manually through the terminal as well.


I really have no idea why this is going on, All I need to be able to use right
now is vcrun6, and I can't get it to show up.


I'm on a macbook pro 2010 edition, if that helps. Can someone help me out
here please? I have been trying to make it work for over 6 hours now.

Winebottler is a third party application.  FWIW, winetricks has ALWAYS 
come up empty for me with it.  Don't know why and I don't care.  I just 
follow the instructions in the Wine Wiki for using it and all is well.

There is no such thing that I can remember.  I think you are talking 
about vbrun6sp1, maybe?

I tried the way suggested, yes.

Also JJmckenzie, No i meant vcrun6. On the site you linked me to, if you go down
you can see that it is even an example code there.

So i removed all the winetricks files I could find on the mac, and tried to
reinstall using recommended method (and chaning wget for curl) and now it's
saying that it can't find a winetricks directory to copy to /usr/bin. What
should I do in this situation? I have no idea where it is installing to now!
