I've been having the screen tearing issue as well, for about a week. It's not clear whether the symptoms followed the WoW 3.3.3 update, or an update to wine or the ATI drivers. At times the whole Wow window is broken into rapidly moving colored polygons, at other times there's just some flashing bright lines like tracer fire. Only seems to affect the background window if there is a foreground window present. I've upgraded Ubuntu to 10.04 (lucid) with no relief. At this point I've got fglrx 8.723.1 (latest from ATI) and wine 1.1.43. Has anyone solved this problem? Config.wtf: Code: SET locale "enUS" SET realmList "us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" SET coresDetected "2" SET hwDetect "0" SET gxWindow "1" SET gxResolution "1152x864" SET gxRefresh "60" SET gxMultisampleQuality "0.000000" SET gxFixLag "0" SET videoOptionsVersion "3" SET accountName "blablabla" SET movie "0" SET Gamma "0.800000" SET readTOS "1" SET readEULA "1" SET showToolsUI "0" SET Sound_OutputDriverName "System Default" SET Sound_MusicVolume "0.40000000596046" SET Sound_AmbienceVolume "0.60000002384186" SET farclip "727" SET ffxGlow "0" SET ffxDeath "0" SET mouseSpeed "1" SET ChatMusicVolume "0.29999998211861" SET ChatSoundVolume "0.39999997615814" SET ChatAmbienceVolume "0.29999998211861" SET Sound_MasterVolume "1" SET readScanning "-1" SET readContest "-1" SET readTerminationWithoutNotice "-1" SET installType "Retail" SET patchlist "us.version.worldofwarcraft.com" SET accounttype "LK" SET VoiceActivationSensitivity "0.39999997615814" SET gameTip "19" SET realmName "Llane" SET Sound_VoiceChatInputDriverName "System Default" SET Sound_VoiceChatOutputDriverName "System Default" SET UIFaster "2" SET gxVSync "0" SET lastCharacterIndex "3" Turning on VSync doesn't fix the problem. I seem to remember one of the settings mentions this kind of thing. You can also check the Winewiki and FAQ. I know I've seen it somewhere. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/attachments/20100503/e569aa4d/attachment.htm>
