[FOLLOWUP]: Calls not tearing down properly
...etion,
from either the Definity or the BCM, clear with a cause of -1. This can
hang a channel on the Definity side as well.

[fdo] Intel G35 / X3500 video tearing
I've recently set up a system built on an ASUS P5E-VM HDMI motherboard
running Ubuntu 7.10 and I'm experiencing some very noticeable tearing
during video playback with mplayer. I have read some discussion about
video tearing with other Intel chipsets in the mailing list a while
back but hadn't heard much about it lately. I've experimented with
both xv and gl video output as well as trying vblank_mode=3 in my dri
conf but ha...

Error during virt-install, error is not for the guest being instantiated
Hi,
I have two processes spinning up independent sets of guests, letting the guests run for a while, and tearing them down.
The two processes are generally giving their set of guests a different "run-period", so the guest spin-up/tear-down will happen during different cycles/phases.
Call these processes A and B, each is currently managing 32 guests.
I am seeing an issue, where when process A i...

Re: World of Warcraft - Screen Tearing
I've been having the screen tearing issue as well, for about a week. It's not clear whether the symptoms followed the WoW 3.3.3 update, or an update to wine or the ATI drivers. At times the whole Wow window is broken into rapidly moving colored polygons, at other times there's just some flashing bright lines like tracer...

Tearing in my buffered animation test script...
OK, I have a basic blit demo working (thanks to Alex Fenton for his
reply, which I finally saw).
However, there''s a great deal of "tearing" on the screen - flickering
grey lines in the black background. It looks like the blit isn''t
always complete when the screen refreshes.
Can anyone look at this and tell me what I might be doing wrong? Any
help would be most appreciated!

MANOVA: how do I read off within and between Sum-of-Squares info from the manova result?
Hi all,
I am experimenting the function "manova" in R.
I tried it on a few data sets, but I did not understand the result:
I used "summary(manova_result)"
and "summary(manova_result, test='Wilks')"
and they gave a bunch of numbers...
But I need the Sum-of-Squares of BETWEEN and WITHIN matrices...
How do I read off from the R's manova results?
Any

[PATCH 9/9] drm: Turn off crtc before tearing down its data structure
When a drm_crtc structure is destroyed with drm_crtc_cleanup(), the DRM
core does not turn off the crtc first and neither do the drivers. With
nouveau, radeon and amdgpu, this causes a runtime pm ref to be leaked on
driver unload if at least one crtc was enabled.
(See usage of have_disp_power_ref in nouveau_crtc_set_config(),
radeon_crtc_set_config() and amdgpu_crtc_set_config()).

That would be Vertical Sync, which as I've said does not fix the problem.

Re: World of Warcraft - Screen Tearing
Bump.
FWIW, I note that sound disappears a random interval after I start playing WoW, which suggests some kind of creeping memory corruption to me. Perhaps it's related to the video problems, perhaps not.
