Has anyone succeeded in running "Darkseed 2" under Wine? If so, please post any special settings that are required. I have tried running a CD-rip version and Wine asks that I reset my display resolution to 640x480, which I do not want to do. I will purchase the full CD if I can get the CD-rip version to run acceptably.
It is an abandonware, you can't buy it i think! Will test it out if you want and report to you later! 2008/10/25 skyhawk <wineforum-user at winehq.org>> Has anyone succeeded in running "Darkseed 2" under Wine? "Darkseed 2" is no longer being distributed commercially, but copies are available from time to time on eBay. I would like someone to test it (the full CD or CD-rip version), running under Wine, and submit a report. The CD-rip version available on most abandonware sites is reported to run under Windows XP, but many using that OS have reported problems with the game. "Darkseed 2" was originally a Windows 95 release.
