wine users - Dec 2007 - Using wine-asio

I actually had an audio app running in wine "see" the wine-asio
"driver". Now,
how do I couple this goodie with a physical device, alsa port or jack 
client??

The app could "not start audio engine". No inputs or outpus  were
available to
its dialogs choices.
