german translation
Hello dear R-core, I would be willing to offer some spare time to generate a german translation of R.pot and RGui.pot. Do you still need a translator or does someone already work on that task? (I hate useless duplication of efforts.) To whom shall I send the de.po file? Or should I generate a diff against the latest svn sources? What's your standard procedure for these cases? Are there

Small typo in german translation
Dear developers, I found a small typo in the german translation for the aggregate() function: In the string "keine Zeile f?r die Aggragation" it should be spelled 'Aggregation' instead of 'Aggragation' (e instead a). After a quick look into the sources, I found two places for it: #grep -r -e "Aggragation" * src/library/stats/po/R-de.po:msgstr "keine

Globalize: :select option not allowed on translatable models
Hi all I got the following error after trying to get the Globalize plugin to work: :select option not allowed on translatable models What could be the problem? I just created a plain new Rails app, installed Globalize through SVN, migrated the DB schema, created a scaffold for Product, and edited the Product model like the following: class Product < ActiveRecord::Base translates :name,

tiny typo in translation (src/library/tools/po/R-de.po)
Dear developers, nearly not worth mentioning, but anyway: there is a tiny typo in a german translation file (in src/library/tools/po/R-de.po: 'erzuege' instead off 'erzeuge'). The attached (if it passes the filters...) patch (for revision 51109) should correct this. Thanks, Martin -- Dr. Martin Becker Statistics and Econometrics Saarland University Campus C3 1, Room 206

translation
Dear Sir/Madam I am a BSc student studying statistics in Ferdowsi University of Mashhad,Iran. Translating R messages to Farsi is my thesis and I have already downloaded *poEdit*  to translate those messages. However, the created .mo files for R.pot and RGui.pot are not useful at all. I would like to be informed if there is something wrong with right-to-left encoding or Farsi fonts or Farsi support.

[PATCH 0/4 v1] Remove gettextify, implement OCaml gettext.
Version 1 of the patch, for discussion, but not to be applied. It does work, but needs a lot more testing. This removes all the psychopathic gettextify cruft, and replaces it with a 99 line Makefile.am. A large win, I think. The third patch implements gettext support in the OCaml tools. The fourth patch is just for illustration. It shows the consequent changes to libguestfs.pot and the po

Call for translators
Hi, (This was also posted on the wine-devel mailing list last week). The code freeze for Wine-1.2 has started and we are now in a weekly release candidate cycle. This is an ideal moment for translation work. The current translations status page http://source.winehq.org/transl/index.php shows four (4) languages at a 100%. Please help us have more fully translated languages for Wine-1.2. Also

[PATCH] Make Perl strings translatable
This patch makes Perl strings translatable. The Perl strings end up in the PO files as usual. It does not touch the embedded POD. Internationalizing the Perl strings was pleasantly simple. Just add: use Locale::TextDomain 'libguestfs'; at the top of any *.pl or *.pm file. Then for each string in the file that you want to be translatable you place TWO underscores before it: -

[LLVMdev] GSoC 2012 Proposal: Automatic GPGPU code generation for llvm
Hi Justin, the non-translatable IR with GPU code replaced by appropriate CUDA Driver > API calls. One of CUDA driver apis (cuLaunch) need a ptx asm string as its input. So if I want to provide a one-touch solution and don't introduce any changes to tools outside polly, I must prepare the ptx string before I can generate the correct non-translatable IR part. As your suggestion, It may

Best practice to handle this
Hi! I have a model which has a field that can have three values only. I store the value in the database as an integer, 0, 1 or 2, but when I display it I want a more appropriate text. And, I want it to be translatable using i18n. Let''s say that it corresponds to how difficult something is. So, 0 represents "Easy", 1 represents "Normal" and 2 represents

[PATCH] gfxboot: allow boot entry to start with label instead of menu_label
menu_ptr->menu_label is human-readable (perhaps even translatable!) text if the MENU LABEL command is used, which isn't very convenient at the start of a boot entry.
