Unable to load module chan_zap.so
I am having trouble with chan_zap.so not loading. When I load it from modules.conf, Asterisk bails out without any error message. When I load it from the console, it just says "Unable to load module chan_zap.so" no matter what verbose level I am using. dmesg says: Zaptel Version: 1.4.4 Zaptel Echo Canceller: MG2 Freshmaker version: 73 Freshmaker passed register test Module 0:

Incorrect Ring tone. Getting a US tone when it should be AU tone

I am using Trixbox 1.2.2. Can someone please guide me into the right direction? zaptel.conf loadzone = au defaultzone = au zapata.conf [channels] language=au indications.conf [general]

Zaptel kernel module load order
Evening, My latest asterisk box is having a difficult problem. It is configured with one TE210P and TDM400P with four FXO modules. I'm running FC6. The TE210P only has a single PRI. When the system boots, it is completely random what order the zaptel modules will get loaded in. Sometimes zttool shows the FXO as the last span, sometimes as the first. When it does load as the first, which

asterisk and telewell isdn hfc problem
Hi, I have debian etch 4.0 machine (2.6.18) with two TW-ISDN PCI (Hfc) cards. I use bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-e (asterisk-1.2.17,libpri-1.2.4,zaptel-1.2.16). I also have patched zaphfc with zaphfc_0.4.0-test1_florz-13.diff.gz (I load module: insmod /usr/src/bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-e/zaphfc/zaphfc.ko modes=1 debug=1). So i want to test two cards and make loop between them. So one card would be NT,

no dial tone tdm400p
This is, hopefully, just a case of brain fade. With zapata.conf and zaptel.conf in place, asterisk loaded, no dial plan and all LEDS on the card lit, I get no dial tone, plugging an analog phone into ports 1 or 2, only a buzz and click. zaptel.conf - defaultzone=us loadzone=us fxoks=1,2 fxsks=3,4 zapata.conf [channels] signalling=fxo_ks language=us context=phones-1 group=0

tdm400p not working with brazilian lines
Hi, I'm installing an Asterisk box with a TDM2400P in Brazil. I can make analog phones work while lines are not working. Since I do not know anything about brazilian lines, is there anybody who can tell me what is wrong/missing in my conf files (below)? Ztdummy and Asterisk
Hi, I have installed Asterisk 1.4.20 on Debian Etch. The server has no telephony card installed, but I have anyhow installed Zaptel (Zaptel-1.4.9) in order to be able to use MeetMe. The Zaptel modules load normally. I obtain the following prompts: kerplunk:/# /etc/init.d/zaptel start Loading zaptel framework: done. Waiting for zap to come online...OK Loading zaptel hardware modules: ztdummy.

[CRON] Right way to restart Asterisk and Zaptel?
Hello About every three months, my dad's little Asterisk server that handles his business phone line with an OpenVox PCI card stops taking calls. To check if it's the cause, I'd like to run a CRON job every night to restart Zaptel and Asterisk. Before I go ahead, I'd like to know if I can just send the following commands, or if there are issues I should know about:

Issues with Zaptel 1.4.5.1
Greetings to all list members! My name is Aldo Sudak and I am an Asterisk newbie. I am writing now because I have not been able to find any mention to the issues described below, neither in this list nor in the wiki. I am performing preliminary tests with Asterisk 1.4.11 and Zaptel 1.4.5.1 on Fedora Core 6. Installation of all of the Asterisk packages was straightforward and I always obtained

Problem with zaptel drivers or card
I have an Asterisk box running Fedora Core 4, Asterisk 1.4, Lippri, 1.4, and Zaptel 1.4 The Digium cards installed are TDM2400 and TE110P. Everything was working fine until I upgraded to zaptel 1.2.12 from 1.2.9 Now when I run ztcfg I get the following error message: (CAS signalling on span 2 conflicts with Clear channel on channel 40) --NOTE: signaling was spelled wrong in the error

Ubuntu 8.04 + Astribank
I'm trying to use a Xorcom Astribank wth Ubuntu 8.04, but got no success. I can see the channel bank with lsusb, but when I tried to use zaptel_hardware, or when I try the /etc/init.d/script, they don't see my Channel Bank. I compiled the latest Zaptel 1.4.10, with Astribank's dependecies, fxload and libusb-dev. Anyone have a similiar experience ? Best Regards, -- Guilherme Loch G?es

I'm trying to get a Qwest PRI configured and working with my lab Asterisk server. They said that the switchtype is 5ess and the signaling is pri_cpe.
