similar to: Polycom Soundpoint IP600

This Polycom phone seems to be one of the best on the market for sound quality and features. I have seen on the list that some people have gotten the IP 600 to work with Asterisk. Does anyone have the details of how to get this working i.e. XML phone config files, and any thing else I might need to know. I am looking for a large number (probably about 100 or so) low-cost phones that I can hang on the wall. I need the phones to use PoE. Do the Uniden phones support wall-mounting? These phones are not going to be high-usage; they simply need to be there in case of an emergency. Hello, I have a polycom ip600 and eyebeam. When I call from polycom to eyeBeam, everything, including audio works. When I call the other side (from eyeBeam to polycom), I get no audio. In both cases, eyeBeam shows the same codec: g711u. Also sip show channels shows ulaw codec for both sides and correct addresses. I have canreinvite=no. I don't know if it's important, but asterisk

Hi all, I have a Polycom Soundpoint IP 600 that looks like it is fried. It either has a bad or corrupt bootrom (I'm guessing). It never gets to the prompt that asks if I want to enter the setup configuration or continue booting. I am trying to use a Polycom Soundpoint IP400 with my asterisk setup, and have been unable to find the proper firmware and application files to make it work. The phone can access the FTP server, and downloads the IP500/600 configuration files, but claims that the sip.ld file is larger than its file system. The piece of plastic is built in to the IP600. Use a screwdriver or something similar and push the little piece of plastic out from the top inside the cradle. Hi, I'm testing a Polycom IP600. With firmware version 1.1 the phone reboots at any time. With firmware version 1.2, the first reboot was an endless reboot. Then I moved the phone to another lan port, then it worked fine. Then I installed again in the initial lan port and the phone works well. However after some time of inactivity (1 hour?), the IP600 stops to send and receive calls.

Hello list: I have a very odd problem. Seemingly randomly, my Polycom IP600 phones will ring without a call being placed to it. That is to say, a random phone will ring. Nothing shows up under Caller ID. Even the buttons that light up to show an incoming call do not light up. If you pick up the handset, you can hear the phone ring through the speaker. I have an extension setup in my extensions.conf for hold music. ext. 600. If I pick up a phone (polycom soundpoint 300 sip) and dial extension 600 I hear the hold music playing. If I call another extension and pick it up and put the call on hold with the hold button on the phone I hear nothing at all. Does anyone have any experience with these phones and getting the hold button to work?
