asterisk users - Jul 2005 - Polycom IP600 - Flashing clock and date?

Hello,

I have configured my polycom ip600 and ip500.
The phone works well.

But the clock is wrong and flashes the whole time. Drives me nuts!

I have set the time offset on the DHCP / boot server. 36000 (I'm in
Australia!)
It doesn't seem to help...

Sounds like you're running the 1.5.2 firmware.  If so, the flashing  
clock means that it couldn't be set by NTP/SNTP.  Did you specify an  
NTP server?  Maybe there's a firewall blocking NTP traffic (it needs  
two communication via UDP port 123)?

There should be a NTP setting.
Setup Network Time Protocol.

It means the phone hasn't been able to contact the NTP server to get the
correct date/time.

Try setting it to pool.ntp.org
