samba - Nov 2006 - Question about Printing

Hello List,

I have a samba server running on centos 4.3 with a Xerox4517 shared via IP.
Everything works fine except that sometimes the printer goes stopped
(accepting jobs) state and it's necessary to go to control center (KDE) and
start it in order to get the printer back normal.
I don't know why it happens and also if it's possible to setup some
kinda
keep alives or something in order the server polls the printer and make sure
it is idle and ready?

Any comment will be appreciated.
