Hi, I am changing the IP addressing in my centOS server which works as mail server. The question I have is, if I define the new IP addresses (sub-interfaces) on the server, can I work with both ranges at the same time despite I have only one default gateway configured? (on the old range) Or may I have two default gateways in centOS? --Ivan. -------------------------------------------------- Ivan Arteaga Grupo Regency Senior Network Consultant Phone: +507 205-8307 Email: <mailto:iarteaga at plazareg.com> iarteaga at plazareg.com <mailto:ivan.arteaga at sisa.com> ivan.arteaga at sisa.com "Look both ways before crossing the Net"

If they are it will work fine, if not there are some workarounds: http://www.linode.com/wiki/index.php/Multiple_IPs alex
no but I think you can use iprouting (ip command) to specify what you want by using tables and rules.
