It probably has something to do with the fact Win 95 doesn't support
encrypted passwords...

Subject: [Samba] !!! HELP !!! samba and win95
I'm running a smb server on a redhat 7.2 system. everything works
just fine except when I try to share something on a win95 machine (user
level). The win95 machine can't access the list of users provided by samba.
("You can not view a list of users at this time.")
Anyone know why?
i'm using samba 2.2.1 and win98 or ME can get a list of users from smb. The
problem appears only on computers using win95.
Tks.!
