writing R shell scripts?
...t to write an R script that takes
argument from command line and runs and produces output to stdin.
For example if there is file foo.R with following in it.
args = commandArgs()
print(args)
then, when I run it like
$ R foo.R hello
it should print 'hello' on the terminal.
I searched the mainling list and found a very old post that said said
that this feature will be implemented soon. I am expecting this has
already been implemented by now.
Thanks,
Deepak

Question lattice SplomT
Dear Deepayan Sarkar,
I have (again) a question concerning "panel" and my function "SplomT",
see attachments. Some time ago you helped me to write this function,
thanks again. I have used it to great advantage in my statistics
instructions. Now the problem I encounter is that the .pdf figure
generated in Sweave consists of
one extra empty page at the start.
This prevents

Cisco 7960 sccp, Skinny and 1.4
Hi All,
I'm thinking of creating a new asterisk server using the latest 1.4
stable release to replace my ageing Asterisk SVN-branch-1.2-r7231 (its
been a while!).
My only concern - my phones are Cisco 7960's (with sccp firmware 7.2
loaded) and to support them better, I remember compiling in a skinny(?)
driver to replace the (from what I could tell) basic in built sccp
support. After

NT4 and Password Authentication on every Login
Hello everybody,
is ist possible to make NT4 not to ask for a password for every
connection again on startup ?
NT4 does not remember the passwords when connection to the samba
server, bit it does for the shares from a NT4 server.
I've tried the WinNT.txt in the docs, and searched in the mainling
list, but I've got no solution yet ...
Our samba uses encryption, but NT4 aks for the passwords on every startup.
I've also treid to make NT4 to negotiate with unencrypted passwords
as described in WinNT.txt in the docs directory.
What have I done wrong ?
Or is there no possibility to mak...

limit source bitrate
Hi guys ,
I'm trying to limit the bitrate of a source client.
I'm using the icecast 2.3.1 and the 2.3.2 , but in the documentation ,
in particular in the limit section I don't see nothing.
So I'm asking to you :
There is a way to limit to a max bitrate , the bitrate that a client can
use for a particular mountpoint ?
Big thanks for the help
Goodbye

limit source bitrate
...the rate
stays high for a certain amount of time. "
To me the connections doesn't start if I go up ther limit. Now I try
with a media that starts with a value under the limit and go upper later
during the streaming , so I see how Icecast responds.
Reply send my result to you and the Mainling List.
Best Regards
Pierpaolo

[LLVMdev] Google Summer of Code 2008
...lcome everyone to apply for this program.
The list of ideas for (possible) projects is located at
http://llvm.org/OpenProjects.html. Surely you can suggest any other
project, if you feel, that it definitely can be useful.
Our common requirement for student is to submit proposal to LLVM
Developers Mainling list for discussions and suggestions *before* actual
submission to Google. Be prepared, that you proposal can be changed a
lot as a result of these discussions :)
Drupal project has great page about "How to Write Summer of Code
Application": http://drupal.org/node/59037, I'd suggest...

I am new to virtualization and I am having the obvious hassle of choosing between Xen and KVM.
Can Xen experts help me with this?
