(it takes to long i suppose?.) : : Does anyone know what the problem is?. : I had the same problem here. The reason was a mismatch in network speed and duplex mode settings on manageable HUBs. Check all our network hardware (switches/routers/network-cards). Try to connect server and client to the same hub, check the settings off the NICs. Try 10mBit/halfduplex first, disable autodetect/autonegotiation - this may not work with some combinations of hardware. I do not think this is a samba problem. Hope this helps - good luck. Martin
