memory error?
I have just noticed this message in my kernel logs, reporting the possibility of an error with my memory. This would go a long way towards explaining the problems i''ve been having. This particular error is occuring when i''m not running xen so is obviously not something brought on by xen itself.
The strange thing is that the NMI error is always followed by the TLAN: eth0: Adaptor

[LLVMdev] strace for whole-program bitcodes (was: RE: building whole-program bitcode with LLVM)
Hi Terence,
I believe that this is in fact similar to an approach Coverity uses
(or used at one time) as a robust solution to determine what was done
during a build. I can imagine that one can build a robust system
following this technique, but it also seems like it might be quite a
bit of work.
Another possible alternative not mentioned is to teach the compiler
driver (clang, most likely) to

[LLVMdev] strace for whole-program bitcodes (was: RE: building whole-program bitcode with LLVM)
Hi, Kelly, Have you found the solution for this problem? I met a similar
problem when I were trying to test MySQL 5.0 with LLVM. The following is my
step, but still failed since llvm-ld can not recognize some gcc link flags.
1. during the configuration, use a script such as llvm-gcc.sh, at this time
the script only invoke the gcc. This is necessary because the gnu configure
will test the

interface negotiation questions (slightly off-topic)
Howdy:
This is (at least slightly) off-topic, but I've seen more knowledgeable folks than I mention autonegotiation in this venue and, since I didn't get any response on the vortex-bugs mailing list, I thought I'd ask here (also, the interface in question supports samba so...). And there should be some good news for some folks too.
If this is old news, sorry (I've been too busy

[LLVMdev] strace for whole-program bitcodes (was: RE: building whole-program bitcode with LLVM)
Hi,
It would be nice if it were easier for relative
novices to build whole-program bitcodes for
large, complex applications with hairy build
systems. Several readers of this list have
been trying various approaches for a few months
but as far as I know we haven't yet found a
good general solution. Approaches that have
been tried include 1) placing wrappers for the
usual tools (gcc, ar, as,

[LLVMdev] building whole-program bitcode with LLVM
Hi,
Professor Adve suggested that we post this question to llvm-dev.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
My colleagues and I want to create whole-program bitcode for large
real programs like Apache, BIND, OpenLDAP, etc. We want the
whole-program bitcode to include every part of the program for which
we have source code. For example, in the case of Apache's "httpd"
server, we want

ppp connection only every second time
hello everyone,
i am setting up my computer and want to establish internet connection over ADSL. For this i have to use pptp.
The annoying thing is, that doing 'pptp 10.0.0.138' i get a connection only every second time.
Perhaps it is a problem, that i cannot stop pptp but killing it, and therefore pppd has to clean up?
i am using pppd 2.4.3 and pptp 1.5.0
Thanks in advance

How about you try moving the mail into another folder on daily basis,
this way the INBOX would stay nice and empty.

H323 in Asterisk
Out of the box it is not supported exactly. You do have to compile
openh-323 and then there is a openh323-driver for asterisk that must be
compiled. I have the steps at work and if you need any more help let me
know. If you read the Readme files in the tarballs you will see how to
do it. I know htat sounds like a blow off or a rtfm but really this is
how I got it working with some help from the

[LLVMdev] templates vs code to generate IR
Hi Terence,
The reason I remarked, actually, is that for LLVM in particular the C+
+ API offers more safety, and emitting .ll generally requires at least
partially reimplementing the IR object model. I think this is a topic
in the FAQ. But both are perfectly valid approaches!

[LLVMdev] strace for whole-program bitcodes
Hello everyone,
I'm working on passing parameters for gold/LTO plug-in and could add this one as well.
Just need an option name. Could anybody suggest one?

General tweaking tips for wine?
Does anyone have any general tips on how to get programs to work on Wine? I
hear lots of success stories for various programs which I have failed to
get working on my own machine. But then again, my own version of wine is a
bog-standard installation without any special adjustments made to it.
What are the steps usually taken to attempt to get a program to run under
Wine? Or is that too

disable auto-negotiation gigabit ethernet
I can not disable the auto-negotiation (eth1) on my centos 6.2 via
ethtool or /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1
the eth1 is a private network on a cheap gigabit-switch (under controll
from a serverhoster). sometime the ethernet-card lost the "speed" and
"duplex" information and change it to "unknown". i can only fix this
with a network-restart (or

Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 22, Issue 1
Hey,
Thanks for the input Andrew. I did all you suggested but noticed that
when I did the loopback test, the output *was not* there as you
mentioned ("I'm set to pri_net, but the other side thinks it is pri_net!").
In fact, the same message as before kept repeating every second or so:
