I''ve written a little ruby/rails hangman-ish app to keep my wife occupied at work that I think list members might also find interesting. I''m new to this list so I wanted to see if it would be considered bad form to post the link before I did. There aren''t any ads so I''m not getting anything out of more visitors, but I still didn''t want to take the chance of incurring the wrath of a list I might need help from in the future. : ) Would I be shunned and exiled for doing so?? For all of the maybe 6 people on the list who only use Internet Explorer and couldn''t use the app before, I''ve updated it so that it works in IE too now. You can also now choose whether you want the images to come from Flickr or Yahoo and I''ve added a couple other minor things. I think I have fixed the nil image error too so if you get that again let me know. Thanks to all those who commented about it before. I hope people continue to enjoy it. This assumes its not a commercial/pay-only site or something. I would imagine if you are doing this often, people will start to get annoyed, but an occasional annoucement about a new site or plugin you''ve written is fine. - Rob -- http://www.robsanheim.com http://www.seekingalpha.com http://www.ajaxian.com
Got it, thanks. My apologies to all, I didn''t realize there was an [ANN] thread (though I''m sure I it was probably mentioned in the registration emails). While I doubt I''ll be doing any more major development (not my day job :) I''ll keep the points in your email in mind if there''s anything else I want to share.
