Hi Neil,
I think your cast statement is wrong. You have
cast(norm.all.melted.height, Sample.Name + SNP + Pool ~ value, sum)
but I think you want
cast(norm.all.melted.height, Sample.Name + SNP + Pool ~ ., sum)
i.e. value never appears in the cast formula.
