[Pkg-xen-devel] Re: xen 3.0.2 doesn't boot, XenDomain0 crashed
hi maintainer's, sorry for the wrong greeting in the mail before. i was able to fix the problem and want you to inform. unfortunatly this wasn't the debian way. 1.) grub from backports doesn't have a postinst script. and "grub-install /dev/sda" brought an error. so i installed it by starting grub device (hd0) /dev/sda root (hd0,1) setup (hd0) with the conclustion, grub doesn't startup any more :( i only get heart in right lower corner. after starting knoppix and reinstalling grub the above way, same problem. so i returned to grub from debian 3.1r3. heart-boot-problem solved. 2.) i removed everything named xen from from my machine (xen-hypervisor, linux-image-2.6.16-686-xen...). xen start's up now with the precompiled xen kernel's. also all my guest's are up again. if wanted, i can try to reproduce the problem on an other machine? unfortunatly i cant test again on this machine, cause it is remote. greetings thomas Thomas Stegbauer schrieb:> hi support-team, > > i have here a mashine
