request for clarification on Asterisk T.38 bounty
...spandsp (which would surely be a large part of any solution)? I guess on one hand it would be unjust *not* to divide the bounty with them, but on the other hand, if the bounty is to be divided, I think the uncertainty about exactly how that would happen might be a factor in why the bounty has gone unclaimed for so long. - a -- PGP/GPG: 5C9F F366 C9CF 2145 E770 B1B8 EFB1 462D A146 C380

[PATCH] Mending proposals for mkdiskimage
...table type of Linux file yielded size 0 which is correctly considered an error by mkdiskimage.) 4. New option -S for cylinder-wise synchronized output with pacifier messages. Already submitted in an earlier patch of Thu, 23 Jan 2014 19:01:48 +0100. 5. Without option -s : Zeroizing of unclaimed space, as far as known, if the size is given with option -M or if c is given as 0. (In the other cases, the unclaimed space might be much larger than a cylinder. For those i would propose a new option -A, if ever.) I can make single-issue diffs, if desired. But first i ask for commen...

.Call and to reclaim the memory by allocVector
...r I removing the object "c", we still have un-reclaimed 70M bytes of memory, which is approximately the memory size for the object "c". If I run the command "c<-cp(a,b)" for three or four times and then remove the object "c" and apply gc() function, the unclaimed memory can reach 150M bytes. I tried gc(reset=TRUE), and it doesn't seem to make difference. Can someone suggest what caused this problem and what the solution will be? When you reply the email, please cc to me as I am not on the help list. Thanks, Yongchao -----------------------------...

isohybrid boot from logical partition
Hi, i think i found the reason for the boot failure in the definition of Extended Boot Records. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_boot_record#Values "Starting sector = relative offset between this EBR sector and the first sector of the logical partition. Note: This is often the same value for each EBR on the same hard disk; usually 63 for Windows XP or older." So if

[PATCH 00/05] Mending for mkdiskimage
...----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4/5 seems clear: New option -S to sync zeroizing after each cylinder and to issue pacifier messages. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5/5 is indeed quite obscure. How about this: Unclaimed space may remain after the end of the partition if the partition size stems from option -M, or is computed from arguments h and s because argument c is 0. Especially on device files, such space might contain a backup GPT which would be invalid after mkdiskimage but could lure partition ed...

...le by Didier Spaier - would be to convert the disk partitioning from MBR to GPT. The task is not too exotic ... Microsoft has docs ... our friendly neighbors too: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fdisk#Convert_between_MBR_and_GPT mentions sgdisk with the important warning that you need a few unclaimed blocks at the end of the disk device. "GPT stores a secondary table at the end of disk. [...]" Before starting this endeavor, one should test by some USB stick whether the isohybrid --partok MBR is working in GPT partitions. (Code is present but how much was it tested ?) Also you'd...
