Actually, while troubleshooting this display problem,
not only did I swap hardware, I also swapped
distributions. Yes, I tried Fedora, and with my
hardware running Fedora, I had the same problem with
the NVIDIA display card. I then realized it was some
Linux problem and not a CentOS problem.
Even if using a Fedoral kernel would work for me, I
think this would disconnect me from automatic kernel
updates via YUM.
I got a brand new Voodoo Banshee card off a local
auction for less than $10.00. For that kind of money,
I would rather not mix and match from different
distributions.
