Hey, I tried it. The short answer is that nVIDIA cards are OK for text, but may not work at all under X. I downloaded the 3.3 ISO's, and burned new CD's. I did an X desktop install on a test bench P3 600 MHz system with a 4.3 gig drive. I did the install with a known-to-work Voodoo Banshee card to get the system going. I used a Mag DX1495 monitor, which I know does not to work on Linux with nVIDIA cards (but which works just fine running Windows with nVIDIA cards). Folks, Randomly, when the phone is taken off-hook, the the Iaxy produces a irritating banshee scream as opposed to a dial-tone. Cycling the power fixes the issue, & sometimes it magically goes away by itself. Has anyone experienced this issue & potentially fixed it? I'm using asterisk CVS head as of jun 17 2004. Thanks, Glen

Hi list, I have been trying to get the new file extension for Ogg FLAC (.oga) to work with Amarok. But it does not look to be possible due to limitations in the xine and gstreamer engines. Maybe the move to .oga was prematurely? I have done some testing with other players?including Banshee, Quod Libet, and others?but have not had any success with playing the .oga files. Only player I have got it to work with is VLC. A quick work around is to manually specify a .ogg extension and audio/x-oggflac MIME type. -- Daniel Aleksandersen
