[Asterisk-Users] BAD echo problems with Sangoma and Telstra
Hello, We have an Asterisk 1.0.9 machine with a Sangoma A101 card fitted, it is connected to a Telstra OnRamp E1 in Melbourne, Australia. The problem we are experiencing is extreme echo and clicking noises. These are only audible to the calling party, e.g. the person calling in from the PSTN to Asterisk via the E1, the person on the SIP handset cannot hear any echo or clicking, only the PSTN side can. As you can imagine, the calling party finds this quite annoying. Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone know how to fix this easily? Regards, Andy Below are the configs: ##/etc/zaptel.conf span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4 bchan=1-15,17-31 dchan=16 loadzone=au defaultzone=au alaw=1-31 ##EOF ##/etc/asterisk/zapata.conf [channels] context=melb_default_in usecallingpres=yes relaxdtmf=no rxgain=0.0 txgain=0.0 busydetect=no pridialplan=local usecallerid=yes callerid=asreceived hidecallerid=no callwaiting=no callwaitingcallerid=no threewaycalling=no transfer=no cancallforward=no callreturn=no echocancel=yes echocancelwhenbridged=yes echotraining=yes adsi=no callprogress=no switchtype => euroisdn signalling => pri_cpe callgroup => 1 group => 1 immediate => no channel => 1-10 ##EOF ##/etc/wanpipe/wanpipe1.conf [devices] wanpipe1 = WAN_AFT, Comment [interfaces] w1g1 = wanpipe1, , TDM_VOICE, Comment [wanpipe1] CARD_TYPE = AFT S514CPU = A CommPort = PRI AUTO_PCISLOT = NO PCISLOT = 0 PCIBUS = 1 FE_MEDIA = E1 FE_LCODE = HDB3 FE_FRAME = CRC4 FE_LINE = 1 TE_CLOCK = NORMAL TE_REF_CLOCK = 0 ACTIVE_CH = ALL TE_HIGHIMPEDANCE = NO FE_TXTRISTATE = NO MTU = 1500 UDPPORT = 9000 TTL = 255 IGNORE_FRONT_END = NO TDMV_SPAN = 1 TDMV_DCHAN = 0 [w1g1] ACTIVE_CH = ALL TDMV_ECHO_OFF = YES ##EOF

[Asterisk-Users] BAD echo problems with Sangoma and Telstra
Hi Matt, I was actually thinking that might be the cause, I have changed it now but will not be able to test untill tomorrow as the box is in production. Thanks!!! (Yes in melbourne, both CBD and surrounds) The clicking sounds like a clock issue, or not enough cpu. What are your phones, maybe it's acoustic echo. Are you seeing any odd log messages (with debug=10 and verbose=10)? -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
