Rails - Jan 2006 - link_to scope / avaliability in a controller

I''m having my first stap at Rails today and I''m having trouble
working
out the scope and avaliablility of some of the methods.

Specifically link_to. It seems to be avaliable in an rhtml file, but not 
in a controller? Is that correct?
