samba - Oct 2001 - Samba 2.2.2 RPM package for Redhat 6.2

I want to ask you, if you release an RPM package for samba 2.2.2 for Redhat
6.2 too, and not only for version 7.1

The SRPM should rebuild on RedHat 6.2 without difficulty.
If not, let me know.

What version of RPM should I download for Mandrake 8.1?  Is the one for
Red Hat 7.1 ok?

Hi,

I have working verison 2.2.1a.
can I compile the sources from 2.2.2 for example to the directory
/tmp/samba and then just replace binaries and not conf files ?
will it work ?
