[Wine] libraries or the packages which are there in windows and not
I am trying to build wine for android, so I am doing a research on this topic. Please could any one help me with this: I want to know what are the libraries or the packages or components which are there in windows and not there in wine.

abh1shekm. You are in for multiable levels of trouble. http://test.winehq.org Wine goal is to have everything but there are still sections that are missing. http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks Lot are not a major problem because they are installed from MS provided runtimes for x86. Common in MFC and MS Visual C++ runtimes that is need extra. Yes the extras have been very nicely integrated into winetricks to provide simpler install. Even so Platinum rated applications if done to book. Should not require user to install these parts. Some cases the applications are bundled with the run-times and install them. Newer versions of windows come out with some of the runtimes provided. Really the big problem has nothing todo with runtimes. Wine is heavily designed to use X11. Android no X11 server. Large section of the video stack would have to be rebuilt. On top opengl es 2.0 that android provides for a lot of applications will not cut it since it will not be providing enough for what direct x emulation needs. Finally there is the platform problem. arm vs x86 there are basically no apps for arm. Wine does not load CE applications.

Especially if you can get Wine to run on my brother's phone. Why? Because it would be cool... not all that useful, but really cool! ChrisA
