[zfs-discuss] creating ZFS mirror over iSCSI between to DELL MD3000i arrays
Hi, I''ve looked at ZFS for a while now and i''m wondering if it''s possible on a server create a ZFS mirror between two different iSCSI targets (two MD3000i located in two different server rooms). Or is it any setup that you guys recommend for maximal data protection. Thanks, /Thom This message posted from opensolaris.org

If your iSCSI targets show up as disk devices, they can be mirrored. Try it for yourself ;) If you have very different latency to them, performance will suffer (like you only used the slower one).. /Tomas -- Tomas ?gren, stric at acc.umu.se, http://www.acc.umu.se/~stric/ |- Student at Computing Science, University of Ume? `- Sysadmin at {cs,acc}.umu.se

[zfs-discuss] creating ZFS mirror over iSCSI between to DELL MD3000i arrays
Hi Tomas, I will try it my self, but it''s just that if i google the subject i only find old entries describing things as kernel panics and system freeze. I''m just wondering if this problem is fixed in the newer releases, or if there is another recommended way to keep data stored on different sites in realtime. We''re talking about +8TB of data. Thanks, /T This message posted from opensolaris.org
