[Xen-users] live migration in between different CPU families
Hi, referring to thread: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/xen/users/177385#177385. I have the same thing going on: hypervisors with E5620 Xeon CPUs and hypervisors with E5410 CPUs. Live migrations go wrong when domU''s are not created on the latter and move from the E5410 servers to more recent ones. The rationale being that these CPU''s have less or other capabilities than the newer ones. Is there any way to work around this? Thx, B. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

I just googled a bit for that but there seems to be little info on that. The only seemly relevant info on that is here: http://zhigang.org/wiki/XenCPUID but that makes less sense to me. Is this what you are referring to? thx, B. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

There should be examples in xen-users archives. -- Pasi _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
