[Xen-users] [XCP] XCP-1.0: has someone joined successful a AD domain?
Hi Folks, I need some help. I can not join the AD domain. Error: Lsass Error [code 0x00080047] -1 (0xFFFFFFFF) -1 - Unknown error 20110323075627:ERROR:Lsass Error [CENTERROR_DOMAINJOIN_LSASS_ERROR] I think that DNS should be fine. DC is a 2008R2. # /usr/bin/domainjoin-cli --log . --loglevel verbose join --ignore-pam \ --ignore-ssh MS.C1-SYNNET-WE.DE.EASTERNGRAPHICS.COM Administrator It creates the XCP machine account, but the it fails for unknown reason then. Has someone joined successful a AD domain with XCP-1.0? [Xen-users] Re: [XCP] XCP-1.0: has someone joined successful a AD domain?
Christian, I can confirm AD authentication is working, though I achieved this by first emulating XenServer: echo 5.6.199 > /etc/xensource/xapi_version_override xe-toolstack-restart I then used XenCenter to join the domain. Worked first time, with a pool of two XCP hosts. -- View this message in context: http://xen.1045712.n5.nabble.com/XCP-XCP-1-0-has-someone-joined-successful-a-AD-domain-tp4258326p4258548.html Sent from the Xen - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

But thanks for your comment, it''s really helpful to know that the problem is on my site. Unknown error isn''t much helpful ;-) Christian> > I then used XenCenter to join the domain. Hi Christian, What are the outputs of "hostname" and "hostname -f" on the host? Likewise relies on "hostname" giving the short name of the machine, and "hostname -f" giving the fully-qualified domain name. This issue has been seen before when "hostname" is set to give the FQDN. There was no domain name field at install time, and the CentOS or RedHat (can'' remember) documentation states that the hostname field must filled with the FQDN. I''ll do that never again, as I don''t have done it before.
