live migration in between different CPU families
Hi, referring to thread: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/xen/users/177385#177385. I have the same thing going on: hypervisors with E5620 Xeon CPUs and hypervisors with E5410 CPUs. Live migrations go wrong when domU''s are not created on the latter and move from the E5410 servers to more recent ones. The rationale being tha...

Issue about domU missing interrupt
Hi developers, I met some domU issues and the log suggests missing interrupt. Details from here: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/xen/users/263938#263938 In summary, this is the suspicious log: (XEN) vmsi.c:122:d32767 Unsupported delivery mode 3 I''ve checked the code in question and found that mode 3 is an ''reserved_1'' mode. I want to trace down the source of this mode setting...

host key on hardware
Hi, I'm new to this list. For some years I've used CryptoSticks and YubiKeys to authenticate to SSH on the client side. Now I wondered if the same also worked on the server side. The closest I found was this old thread from 2012: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/openssh/dev/54825 How did this progress further? Is it in the packages in the debian repositories yet? And is there some documentation on how to set it up? Rgds Richard

FIPS mode OpenSSH suggestion
Hi OpenSSH team, I find a url http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/openssh/dev/42808?do=post_view_threaded#42808, which provides unofficial patch for FIPS Capable OpenSSH. I try it and it seems working for some cases. (BTW, I also find that aes128-ctr, aes192-ctr and aes256-ctr ciphers can't work in FIPS mode properly. The fips mode sshd...

Snmp cpuRawIdle showing double
Posted this to xen-users back in Oct (http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/xen/users/186768), but just confirmed that I''m still seeing this behavior on 4.1. Polling the UCE-SNMP-MIB::ssCpuRawIdle counter results in a total that''s double the actual number of cpu''s on the system, so for example: nms ~ # snmpwalk -v 2c -c '...

Using custom QEMU binaries with libvirt
...on to all the binaries in /usr/local/bin, disabling apparmor profile for libvirtd, creating and putting to complain a profile for /usr/local/bin/qemu-system-x86_64, creating a softlink to /usr/bin/kvm-spice to the custom binary and leaving <emulator> as default... At the end of http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/openstack/dev/40033 I found something about AppArmor, and enabling bios.bin reading somewhere, but I got a little confused here. The most disapointing thing here, is that using qemu 1.7 I could use my custom build, but apparently something changed with 2.0 (or with libvirt...

preparing for 4.2.3 and 4.1.6
Aiming at a release some time in August, I''d like to cut RC1-s by Thursday next week (as I''ll be on a two week vacation starting Friday). Please indicate any bug fixes that so far may have been missed in the backports already done. A few fixes are currently stuck in master''s staging branch (or pending to make it there) - these don''t need to be named explicitly,

Where's crm (from pacemaker-cli) on CentOS 6.4?
Hi, After upgrade the nodes on one of my HA clusters I find that "crm" isn't on the pacemaker-cli package. After some research on the web I find this: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/linuxha/pacemaker/84376?page=last That thread points to this OpenSuSE repo: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/network:/ha-clustering/RedHat_RHEL-6/ Which suply the new "crm" from "CRM shell" project: http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/crms...

Most Popular Searches
...ns an untokenized ''url'' field. I would like to query the index for the most popular urls. In SQL I would do this via a Group By clause. Is there anything in Ferret that will do something similar? I found this discussion that proposed a solution involving TermEnums: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/lucene/java-user/32272#32272 But I noticed the IndexReader.terms and IndexReader.term_docs are not implemented. Is that solution the way to go? Would an index-only solution perform a lot faster than a pure database solution using a group by clause? Any feedback is appreciate...

Reboots and Panics(4.1.2/4.2-unstable)
...ve tested with both Ubuntu 11.10 and Fedora 16 and get the same results on both, including building xen 4.2-unstable. I bought this particular MB because it had a know working vt-d implementation via VMWare. NOTE: current unstable as of last night is still affected by this library error http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/xen/devel/234300 However, after correcting the library error, I was able to complete the unstable build. In both cases, it either stops with a panic/blank screen, or just reboots. Here are some other notes: 1) If x2apic is enabled on the motherboard, it almost immediately re...

Change initial directory based on port of reverse tunnel?
...of the reverse tunnel.' I'm not sure if there's anyway to get sshd to solve this problem currently. I'm open to all suggestions. I have spent a lot of time reading man pages for openssh and nothing I have tried has worked so far. I found this post to the mailing list: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/openssh/dev/52909 If I made each tunnel listen on a different port then I could use that to chroot each port to a different directory. I don't know if this is the best approach. I can't get the patch to work on a current version of openssh so if that's the best sol...
