strange problem!! I think the xen 3.3.1 has been installed successfully.(detail info appended below). when I use "xm create" command, it said"Started domain opensolaris0811". opensolaris0811 is my installed domain name. However, when I use "xm list" command, I cannot find the new build domain opensolaris0811. Only show domain-0 and win2k3 (which is a guest OS installed in xen 3.0 before I upgrade to xen 3.3.1). Another interesting point is I can build it in virt-manager, but I cannot find the cfg file which should be generated automaticlly for new domain. So I have to use virt-manager for further guest OS boot and installation. The problem arised again. When I boot opensolaris0811 with virt-manager, It said from viewer that: CDROM boot failure code : 0004 Boot from Cd-Rom failed FATAL: Could not read the boot disk please help me !! thank you very much! some detail info: [root@EDAServer4 ~]# xm dmesg __ __ _____ _____ _ \ \/ /___ _ __ |___ / |___ / / | \ // _ \ ''_ \ |_ \ |_ \ | | / \ __/ | | | ___) | ___) || | /_/\_\___|_| |_| |____(_)____(_)_| (XEN) Xen version 3.3.1 (root@gitco.tld) (gcc version 4.1.2 20071124 (Red Hat 4.1.2-42)) Tue Jan 20 23:00:48 CET 2009 (XEN) Latest ChangeSet: unavailable (XEN) Command line: (XEN) Video information: (XEN) VGA is text mode 80x25, font 8x16 (XEN) VBE/DDC methods: none; EDID transfer time: 0 seconds (XEN) EDID info not retrieved because no DDC retrieval method detected (XEN) Disc information: (XEN) Found 1 MBR signatures (XEN) Found 1 EDD information structures (XEN) Xen-e820 RAM map: (XEN) 0000000000000000 - 000000000009c800 (usable) (XEN) 000000000009c800 - 00000000000a0000 (reserved) (XEN) 00000000000e0000 - 0000000000100000 (reserved) (XEN) 0000000000100000 - 00000000dffc0000 (usable) (XEN) 00000000dffc0000 - 00000000dffce000 (ACPI data) (XEN) 00000000dffce000 - 00000000dffe0000 (ACPI NVS) (XEN) 00000000dffe0000 - 00000000dffee000 (reserved) (XEN) 00000000dfff0000 - 00000000f0000000 (reserved) (XEN) 00000000fee00000 - 00000000fee01000 (reserved) (XEN) 00000000ffb00000 - 0000000100000000 (reserved) (XEN) 0000000100000000 - 0000000420000000 (usable) (XEN) System RAM: 16383MB (16776560kB) (XEN) ACPI: RSDP 000F9980, 0024 (r2 ACPIAM) (XEN) ACPI: XSDT DFFC0100, 004C (r1 082808 XSDT0952 20080828 MSFT 97) (XEN) ACPI: FACP DFFC0290, 00F4 (r4 082808 FACP0952 20080828 MSFT 97) (XEN) ACPI: DSDT DFFC0470, 52CD (r2 0AAAA 0AAAA000 0 INTL 20051117) (XEN) ACPI: FACS DFFCE000, 0040 (XEN) ACPI: APIC DFFC0390, 0092 (r2 082808 APIC0952 20080828 MSFT 97) (XEN) ACPI: MCFG DFFC0430, 003C (r1 082808 OEMMCFG 20080828 MSFT 97) (XEN) ACPI: OEMB DFFCE040, 0071 (r1 082808 OEMB0952 20080828 MSFT 97) (XEN) ACPI: SSDT DFFCF2C0, 1298 (r1 DpgPmm CpuPm 12 INTL 20051117) (XEN) Xen heap: 13MB (14232kB) (XEN) Domain heap initialised (XEN) Processor #0 7:7 APIC version 20 (XEN) Processor #4 7:7 APIC version 20 (XEN) Processor #1 7:7 APIC version 20 (XEN) Processor #5 7:7 APIC version 20 (XEN) Processor #2 7:7 APIC version 20 (XEN) Processor #6 7:7 APIC version 20 (XEN) Processor #3 7:7 APIC version 20 (XEN) Processor #7 7:7 APIC version 20 (XEN) IOAPIC[0]: apic_id 8, version 32, address 0xfec00000, GSI 0-23 (XEN) Enabling APIC mode: Flat.
