Xen users - Feb 2008 - [RFI]Is NAT broken with Linux HVM guests?

Hi All,

I tried a usual NAT setup with a Linux HVM guest.
Looks straight forward approach.

Unfortunately I cannot ping even domain0''s eth0 interface.

Xen assigns an IP address for me to vif1.0, where 1 is the domid of my
HVM guest i.e 10.0.1.128(changes are per vmid and domid).

I manually attached ip address 10.0.1.2 to eth0 in HVM domainU and add
default gateway to be 10.0.1.128.

Now if i try to reach 10.0.1.128, it is unreachable.why?

eth0 has an IP address 10.100.207.11.

Even attaching an ip alias eth0:0 10.0.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 does not helps.

Shouldn''t vif1.0 be atleast reachable from HVM domain with NAT?

Any help, corrections or pointers are welcome.
