I have to install SLES9.3 distributive which is of 9 CDs as HVM domU. Having their ISO images ready, I hardly found a document describing the exact procedure of changing virtual CDs when installing the OS: http://www.novell.com/support/dynamickc.do?externalId=3172795&sliceId=SAL_Public&command=show&forward=nonthreadedKC&kcId=3172795 It really helps. But a strange effect of not recognizing every CD from the first time is noticed. The installation kernel says (in its Ctrl-Alt-F4 window, i.e. "dmesg" or kernel log): kernel: cdrom: open failed. last message repeated 17 times Accordingly I had to click OK in the Linux installation menu several times before a "CD" could be read. Imagine thist 9 CDs where asked to be changed some 30 (! I do not know why so much) times and every time I had to click OK from 1 to 10 times :(( Is it something wrong in the environment which makes CD-images not to be read from the first time? If not, which is the proper, XEN-approved procedure of changing CD iso images? Environment: XEN3.1, SUN X4600, SLES9.3-64bit as dom0 _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
