[Wine] Wine 1.3 packaged for Ubuntu, must be installed explicitly
I have added a new series of Wine 1.3 packages to the Wine PPA: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wine/+archive/ppa These are for 10.04 (Lucid) only and must be explicitly installed: sudo apt-get install wine1.3 Users who simply install the wine or wine1.2 packages (as in, all existing users) will instead get the stable Wine 1.2 release, which is still packaged there. Thanks, Scott Ritchie

[Wine] Re: Wine 1.3 packaged for Ubuntu, must be installed explicitly
Thanks for the heads up, switched. I'm noticing Wine 1.2 still has this paragraph in its description, which isn't very accurate anymore:> This package is based on a recent Wine beta. While many more applications will > work, there may be some loss of functionality compared with the stable release > provided by the regular wine package.

I compiled 1.3 from source, and it ran. Lucid on amd64 Ref: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23959
