[Wine] Dune 2000 freezes after a few minutes - Any ideas?
Hi there. I got a problem with good old Dune2000. Installing works fine and the game starts too. After a few minutes of fine gameplay (2-5 minutes [Rolling Eyes] ) the game freezes. Before the game freezeses, the cursor runs kinda too fast. It rotates like crazy but the game works normal. Any ideas? I'am using Linux Mint Helena 8 and Wine 1.2 (now rc 5). And yes, I patched the game to version 1.6 .

The error I always got is :> err:seh:setup_exception_record nested exception on signal stack in > thread 002a eip 7efbad10 esp 7ffdbc3c stack 0x8e2000-0xad0000Please read bug #20380 and bug #15195. This sounds to be the same problem. It seems that last known working version is 1.1.30. Can you please confirm ?
After reading the bug #20380, it seems that this is a kernel bug, and it should be fixed at least in 2.6.34. Which version of the kernel do you use ?

The game does not crash with kernel 2.6.31 patched with commit a27341cd5fcb7cf2d2d4726e9f324009f7162c00 from kernel.org. So, yes, crash fixed with kernel 2.6.34. http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-2.6.34.y.git;a=commit;h=a27341cd5fcb7cf2d2d4726e9f324009f7162c00
