Dune 2000 - no keyboard response - good rendering speed
Hi, I've installed Dune 2000 and the 1.06 patch in Wine, and it runs very well, except that it doesn't accept keyboard input. It wasn't any better without the patch. The entry at the appdb doesn't mention anything about it. Does anybody know how to fix it? I've already tried changing all the settings on...

Vegan: how to plot sites labes in diversity plot
Dear List, I can'f figure how to add point labels in the next plot (example from ?taxondive help page, from vegan package): library(vegan) data(dune) data(dune.taxon) taxdis <- taxa2dist(dune.taxon, varstep=TRUE) mod <- taxondive(dune, taxdis) plot(mod) The points in this plot are diversity values of single sites, and I'd like to add a label to each one. The plot command don't accept a "label" argument. Any tip? Thanks...

plotting issues with PCA
Hi Listers, This has a simple answer but it has been eluding me nonetheless. I have been building a PCA plot from scratch with the ability to plot predefined groups in different colors. This has worked fine but when I try to get a polygon drawn around each of the groups it is not recognising my colour file correctly and is only printing the first colour in the file....code is below

metaMDS
Hello R-user community, I am applying the function metaMDS. However, I would like to know if there is any option to export the data I got from the axis as a data frame. I have tried as.data.frame.list but is not working. Any suggestion? Thank you in advance for your help, Lineth [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Wine not recognizing cdrom in Dune 2000
Hello, I'm having some problems with getting wine to access the cdrom drive in Westwood's Dune 2000. I'm using Debian, and updated to the latest available build: 20020122. However I could not install Dune2000. I would run the setup program, but it would give me an error saying it could not access the data files and would quit. So I downgraded to 20011226 and it installed fine. I...

Dune 2000 freezes after a few minutes - Any ideas?
Hi there. I got a problem with good old Dune2000. Installing works fine and the game starts too. After a few minutes of fine gameplay (2-5 minutes [Rolling Eyes] ) the game freezes. Before the game freezeses, the cursor runs kinda too fast. It rotates like crazy but the game works normal. Any ideas? I'am using Linux Mint Helena 8 and Win...

Vegan R^2 and tau values for metaMDS
I am using the function metaMDS with jaccard distances to ordinate a set of constituent by site matrix. I can post this data if it would be helpful, but it is large to include in an email. I can also provide reproducable code if necessary. I would like to get an R^2 value for the axes of the ordination configuration that I get with metaMDS in the vegan package is there a way to do this- is it

Plotting Ellipses and Points of Matching Colors in an Ordination
Hello, R-Help - I am trying to plot the results of an ordination from package vegan. The tricky part for me right now is getting the colors of the ellipses denoting the 95% confidence intervals of the group centroids to match the colors of the points for those same groups. >From and earlier post, I saw the code to make a plot of the ordination using different colors for my different groups.

species projected in a ordiplot
Dear all, I'm performing a detrended correspondence analysis on vascular plant community data (296 species), and I have a question on the species scores projected in the ordination diagram. When I run a ordiplot all species are projected in the output graph, but I'd like to restrict the number of species plotted in the final graph. Some species are so rare in the data, that no relevant

The closest thing I found was the usage of ${..}/$(..) variables in dune (the OCaml build system), with the following differences: - manually tokenizes the string - allows anything as variable name, splitting it in two if a ':' is found - ${..}/$(..) instead of %{..} > There are all kinds of questions that aren't answered such as: Should > varia...

Vegan problem
Hi All, I am trying to perform CCA and RDA several times to compare their performances. To do that I put this two functions of vegan package inside a for loop. Unfortunatly when I am trying to perform the anova(by=axis) to test the individual axes the function don't recognize the species data.frame. The same problem occurs whem I try to run forward selection. The same problem occur when I try

A "Cross-Platform Runtime Library API" in LLVM IR
...you give it a size (no type, for example) and it gives you a pointer to some uninitialised memory. The only lower-level interfaces would be related to page table management (mmap and friends on *NIX, more complex APIs on Mach and entirely delegated page table manipulation on something like Xen or DUNE). Again, what problem are you trying to solve? What is your use case for such a library? David
