[Wine] Re: laughs - how to install wine 1.137 on debian?
I could tell you how but it would be better if you just wait and upgrade when it makes it in the repository the last time i compiled wine on ubuntu it took about 2 1/2 or3 hours and it didn't work as good. The only reason would be to patch some bugs that has not been fixed yet.Wine 1.1.37 should be getting close to making it in the repository and .deb's will make it a day or two after that and sometimes they make it the same day.The wine team is really good and fast about getting updates out.
thanks dude
mroberts000 No patches are normally applied to wine. Only reason why wine normally does not work as good is missing a dependency or two. Wine is one of these programs that will basically build no matter what. Ok No X11 support it will still built. Even that wine without a X11 server is not much use. I have built wine from scratch for years.
