wine users - Jan 2006 - standard wine build environment

I am trying to use wine on several slightly different systems and am 
getting inconsistent results on these systems. Upon observing the 
./configure output and output.log it is apparent that the configurations 
are different.

Is there a standard system description for building wine?

Should the system be build to reduce the 'no' results from ./configure?

Even though the script does not error is there a list of dependencies 
that are required?
