wine users - Dec 2005 - printing via an external command

Hello,

I have installed wine 0.9.3 (compiled from source). Wine print via the 
cups system. I would like to print via an external command that I 
choose. This would let me to have xpp (graphical lpr showing all the cps 
option); which have more options than wine provide or to send the 
contents into a file instead of printing it (the print to file does not 
wotk for all programs) by using a small shell script a print command.

Is there any way to do that?
