Hi guys I downloaded and compiled the latest Wine verson and I got the following error msg from the Windoes Installer. The installer wizard fired up properly, asked a few questions and started to copy the application out when it returned an internal error 2352. Below is from the msievent.log. My .wine/config is the standard conf except for minor adjustment to /mnt/floppy and /mnt/cdrom. -------------------------------------------------- 4/17/2003 21:43:09 (Info ) Product: Windows Installer -- Installation complete d successfully. 4/17/2003 22:17:09 (Error ) Product: e-Sword -- Internal Error 2352. 4/17/2003 22:17:16 (Info ) Product: e-Sword -- Installation operation failed. --------------------------------------------------- cheers Philip _____________________________________________________________ The Ng Family Homesite ==> http://www.ng.fm _____________________________________________________________ Select your own custom email address for FREE! Hi guys Found out from the Microsoft website Windows Installer Errors Table that 2352 refers to: Couldn't initialize cabinet file server. The required file 'CABINET.DLL' may be missing. Can anyone help with this? thanks Philip --- Philip Ng <linuxrh@ng.fm> wrote:>Hi guys > >I downloaded and compiled the latest Wine verson and I got the following error msg from the Windoes Installer. Found this on the net regarding error 2352. May be of help? quote> I'm trying to install MS Office 2000 on wine-20021125. > > I get an error from Office installer: > > Internal error 2352. Of course it shouldn't be used automatically if have a cabinet.dll, since I guess most people (including you) have a: [DllOverrides] ; default for all other dlls "*" = "native, builtin, so" entry in their config file. You can force cabinet to native with wine --dll cabinet=n though. /quote Kind regards, Julian On Thu, 2003-04-17 at 15:34, Philip Ng wrote:> Hi guys > > I downloaded and compiled the latest Wine verson and I got the following error msg from the Windoes Installer.
