no dial tone tdm400p
This is, hopefully, just a case of brain fade.
With zapata.conf and zaptel.conf in place, asterisk loaded, no dial plan and all LEDS on the card lit, I get no dial tone, plugging an analog phone into ports 1 or 2, only a buzz and click.

FAX detection not working
I am having a problem detecting incoming FAX. TMD22p (tdm400p 2 fxo, 2fxs)
As I understand it, I must have faxdetect = incoming to enable detection of the fax tone.
Then, I must have a [fax] context to pickup the line and send it to whatever extension the FAX device is on.
In my case, I ask it to answer immediately and do a distinctive ring (r3) to alert that is its a FAX call so no one picks

Zaptel? Dahdi?
Is Zaptel no longer available?
I returned to a long shelved project (using TDM400P and a customized, canned version of *) and, getting to the configuration, find wctdm is not there. I recall the authors where very "enterprise" oriented and focused on T1 cards. So they left analog support out.
Anyway, before I abandon all hope and dive into the "new stuff", I thought I would

Problem with zaptel drivers or card
I have an Asterisk box running Fedora Core 4, Asterisk 1.4, Lippri, 1.4, and
Zaptel 1.4
The Digium cards installed are TDM2400 and TE110P.
Everything was working fine until I upgraded to zaptel 1.2.12 from 1.2.9
Now when I run ztcfg I get the following error message:
(CAS signalling on span 2 conflicts with Clear channel on channel 40)
--NOTE: signaling was spelled wrong in the error

Unable to load module chan_zap.so
I am having trouble with chan_zap.so not loading. When I load it from
modules.conf, Asterisk bails out without any error message. When I
load it from the console, it just says "Unable to load module
chan_zap.so" no matter what verbose level I am using.
dmesg says:

[Zaptel] Checking that TDM card works?
Hello
Since TDM cards are known for being particular when it comes
to motherboards (PCI 2.2, etc.), I was wondering if there is a utility
that can check that the Zaptel driver works OK and can tell if the TDM
card is compatible?
That way, if an FXO module is not reporting an incoming call, we'd
know it's because of the Zaptel driver, and not something elsewhere.
Are "dmesg",

I have had a TDM400 with 2 FXO and 2 FXS working for ages (>12 months). It has stopped working. All four green lights are still lit. I have rebuilt zaptel and asterisk and restarted but the problem persists.

Ubuntu 8.04 + Astribank
I'm trying to use a Xorcom Astribank wth Ubuntu 8.04, but got no success. I
can see the channel bank with lsusb, but when I tried to use
zaptel_hardware, or when I try the /etc/init.d/script, they don't see my
Channel Bank. I compiled the latest Zaptel 1.4.10, with Astribank's
dependecies, fxload and libusb-dev. Anyone have a similiar experience ?

Hi,
Some weird problem (or I'm too sleepy) happens with a tdm04B revision G (4fxo)
Steps:

modprobe wctdm
ztcfg -vv

/etc/asterisk/zapata.conf

modprobe zaptel and wctdm load fine, however ztcfg -vv shows:

Card loading order...
I am having a problem with a couple servers. They both have a Digium
TE110P and a TDM04B card. I have setup the system so the TE110P uses channels
1-31 and the TDM04B 32-35. The problem is that when we reboot the server
sometimes the TDM04B is recognized first and the TE110P second so the
configuration fails.
I do not know why this happens and to solve this I have to do a "service

Problem with the loading of the cards in Debian
Hi people,
I'm having some problem when I reboot my machine. Every time that I
reboot the system, the zaptel changes the order loading of the cards.
I have 3 cards (wcte11xp, wctdm and wcfxo).
So, my configs in the zaptel.conf will be always wrong, because I
change the config for a order loading, and when I reboot its change!
I tryed to see the config in /etc/udev/ but I think its right,

FXS port doesn't provide dialtone
Hello everyone,
I want to connect a fax to an FXS port (TDM420P). For testing purposes,
I connected an analogue phone to it first. However, when I pick it up, I
cannot hear anything at all.
The power cable is plugged into the card, the port is configured to use
fxo-signalling. Also, immediate=no. Here's the files:
